Red Tiled Rooms

With only the memory of her name, Adelaide awakens in a space flooded with scarlet light. She finds herself alone, surrounded only by vivid red walls and the muddled reflections which the glossy rectangles cast. Electing to follow the only path forward, Adelaide finds that the tiled space is not a singularity, but instead one small room in a vermilion labyrinth constructed of twisting staircases, puzzling trials and countless dead ends.

Believing that the only way out of the mysterious structure is through its winding passages, Adelaide presses on, but as her seemingly endless procession through the red tiled rooms grows from hours into days, she begins to realize worries that she may never escape. In her search for egress from the empty halls and chambers of her vibrant prison, Adelaide eventually encounters traces of her captor’s presence, proving that someone, or perhaps something, has been watching her.

Directed by Parker Abbot, 2000.
