Triad Beats

On the floor of the esoteric discotheque Isohaus, clubbing is not a Dionysian pastime but instead an intense contest of will and devotion between the three house DJs and their fans. Perfecting their sets through rigorous practice during their performances throughout each month, the three competitors face off in a final night of head to head rhythmic battles, judged only by the crowd’s response to their music. With his long reign as the contest’s champion, Deputy spins his noir westerns with their drum and bass flair while his rivals, trance-tuned creature of the deep Thulu and noise-mongering tank girl Roseblood seek to claim the high honor at the top of the set. 

On the night when Deputy is on track to take his seventh consecutive win, his performance is cut short after a near miss with a well aimed bullet kills one of his dancers. The attempted assassination and resultant murder puts the crowd in a frenzy, but as the ravers try to flee the dance floor they find all exits of the club have been barred. As panic and tension rise in the space, Deputy’s supporters cast suspicion on his adversaries and their fans, but when in the chaos untraceable beats come over the sound system, it becomes clear that a fourth DJ has come out to play.
