Soon after realizing she has begun to rapidly age for no clear reason, school teacher Carolina embarks on a roadtrip through rural Italy in search of a cure. Throughout her journey, she encounters a curious cast of people whose lives weave their way into her own. A girl pursued by a brazenly covetous shop clerk, a flamboyant engineer and his amnesiac father, a retired duo of melodramatic actors and many more characters cross Carolina’s path as she drives deeper into the Italian countryside. Due to her empathic nature, she holds on to these fleeting connections, but with every passing moment she feels the weight of a new year and the encroaching reality of an early grave.
