An Operetta Esoteric

Hidden behind feigned walls within the blackened brick corridors of transit tunnels beneath the river Thames, London’s little known Veil Ballroom hosts the most exclusive events for the world of underground classical music. Having met an alluringly enigmatic woman at a local pub, you find yourself with an invitation to meet her in the mysterious venue. Given a time and location to catch a bus to the concert, you hurry to ready yourself for the night.

Upon arriving at the designated place, you worry that she may not have been truthful, seeing as there is no stop or vehicle in sight along the dead end mews where you were told to wait, but as nearby bell tolls out eleven, an empty black routemaster without a marked destination arrives opening its doors to you, revealing a short and sharply dressed man at the wheel. You hesitate before boarding, the driver giving a subtle nod and closing the doors behind you and driving straight toward the solid wall at the end of the road.
